Este documentário é um tributo ao cineasta norte-americano Stanley Kubrick, dirigido por Jan Harlan, seu companheiro de trabalho em diversos filmes. Após sua morte em março de 1999, aos 70 anos, amigos e colegas de trabalho falam de seus relacionamentos com o diretor que, embora preferisse viver sozinho, foi presença marcante na vida de diversas pessoas. Ao todo são cerca de 50 depoimentos de atores, roteiristas, diretores, produtores, equipe técnica em geral e familiares que falam sobre Kubrick. Depoimentos de grandes nomes como Steven Spilberg, Woody Allen e Sydney Pollock podem ser conferidos.
