Sinopse
Bill Oakland (Alec Baldwin) é um bem sucedido romancista. Em um acidente de carro, ele acaba perdendo a visão e sua esposa morre. Anos depois, a socialite Suzanne Dutchman (Demi Moore) é obrigada a ler para ele três vezes na semana em uma pequena sala devido a um acordo por estar associada à informações privilegiadas do marido, um homem de negócios. Um caso de paixão se constrói entre os dois, despertando o amor neles mais uma vez.
