Sinopse

Um detetive particular, velho e solitário, segue os passos da bela Catherine Leiris, que roubou e matou o marido rico na noite de seu casamento. Ele começa a se sentir conectado com a mulher, pois ela lembra a filha que nunca conheceu. O amor da vida de Leiris morre em um acidente de ônibus e ela passa a trabalhar como garçonete, levando uma vida solitária. Esse é o momento em que Catherine e o detetive, finalmente, se conhecem.
